ICEAM Sydney

The Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine® has been actively providing trainings in Australia since 2011 with the first seminars having been offered as early as 2009. Between 2010 and 2013, ICEAM® was based in the city of Melbourne and successfully hosted one full offering of the Canonical Chinese Medicine training which culminated into one of the largest graduating cohorts in 2013.
In 2015, the seminar series moved to Sydney and another full offering was completed in 2018. The current director of Sydney ICEAM is Mr. Jean-Paul Staats, who is both a Clinical Fellow, Clinical Supervisor and classroom Instructor for ICEAM. Seminars in Sydney are commonly held in conference space in CBD hotels or at event centers. The most recent Canonical Chinese Medicine training was held at the Embassy Events Center (http://www.embassyevents.com.au/).
All seminars offered in Australia apply towards fulfilling the Australia Chinese Medicine Board’s (http://www.chinesemedicineboard.gov.au/) continuing professional development (CPD) requirements for Australian licensed acupuncturists, and are recognized by the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
