Event Details:

The Shanghan Lun Lines Retreat concludes your many years study of the Shanghan Lun based on the Tian Family tradition. We will study each line of the text with a detailed commentary and discussion by your instructor Arnaud Versluys, PhD. The instruction is based on Dr. Versluys’ almost two decades of research of the Shanghan Lun–he will quote extensively from late lineage holder Zheng Guanglu’s personal notes on the Shanghan Lun.

This is a rare opportunity that should not be missed, especially considering that this event only visits each continent every 6 years. Furthermore, considering Dr. Versluys’ recent announcement to pause lecturing and focus on writing, this will be your last chance for a long time. The seminar is only open to Diplomates.

The seminar consists of 6 hours of seminars, for ten days straight, totaling 60 hours of professional development. The seminar schedule is as following;

  • 9am-12pm: lecture
  • 12pm- 3pm: long lunch break
  • 3pm- 6pm: lecture

This year’s retreat will be held in beautiful Byron Bay, NSW, Australia. The venue will be:

Byron Theatre and Community Centre
69 Jonson Street,
Byron Bay, New South Wales 2481

We have chosen to not organize group lodging to allow students to book their own accommodations in Byron Bay or environs, based on personal preference. Your tuition includes tea and coffee breaks, as well as buffet lunch every day at the center. You are responsible for your own breakfast and dinner.
