Hello everybody, I am stuck with a case; help is needed ;-)19 year old, funnel chest and slight scoliosis; complains of caved-in feeling of the chest and lots of tightness and pain between shoulder blades. Slight allergic asthma. Sweats easily and does lots of sports. Drinks alot and pees it out quickly. Rikyu and muscle twitching and very tight pumped muscles. Some clear runny mucus in nose and pressure in the head. Looser stools once/twice daily. Dry parched lips. Tendendy to sensitive skin, which swells up if irritated by a needle or gua sha. I have done CHGZGGJT + LGZGT + BS12, then XQLT + XB24 for sticky stools and then XJZT + LGZGT so far. CHT improved the rikyu and nervousness; XQLT improved energy, lung function and spinal posture. XJZT didn’t have any apparent effect, but improved the parched lips. I just don’t know if the muscle issue is dry or wet (I guess it’s wet). Also, I don’t know what to make of the pulse if it is not a JZT. Pulse: L all deep thin wiry, cun a bit higher; R all middepth and higher than L, guan bigger, chi sl wiry. Could this be HQJZT with the excessive sweating and a dry muscle type? Or could it be the XQLT wetness.

May not be right, but with chest caving in – GZGCT, easy sweating, SOB, pressure in head, dry lips – yang going up, loose stool and frequent urination – yin falling down. L 1st up, R side bigger. It’s what first comes to mind. But don’t worry: I still remember asking Arnaud a question years ago – ‘This patient with digestive problems has such a big dong between L 1&2 that I can’t work out what the rest of the pulse is’ – Arnaud stated — ‘well, then it’s obvious what needs treating, isn’t it?’
